Initial costs include screening fees and application fees for certification of residence status. This includes admission fees, tuition fees, and rent. You will also need to take into account the cost of obtaining a visa and airfare. After coming to Japan, you will have to pay daily living expenses.

What Japanese language ability is required to enter a Japanese language school?
Japanese language schools require Japanese language proficiency test N5 level or higher. This means that they can speak, read and write basic Japanese, and have studied Japanese for about 150 hours. At ECS, we aim to pass N5 with a 200-hour curriculum.
